George Your post title is "The Value of Lying" but when I click on the link, I see an article entitled "The Price of Lying." Seems like opposite meanings. I'm a contrarian on this one, so I'm sticking with the "value of lying." A couple of example…

Very interesting, Bart! And it can be run from a Mac! Do you have any comments on how it stacks up to GoToMeeting or WebEx? Mike

George I tried to respond to this post on your blogspot article. But after writing my entire response, I could not submit it. I was offered choices which I did not understand. It wanted me to select a profile before posting, and in trying to follow…

Turn Your Creativity to Cash Flow

If you're going to Confab, come to my Tuesday morning session on this topic. Here's what I'll be talking about:

As consultants, one of our prime assets is our creative problem solving ability. We continually come up with creative one-time solutions for clients. But what if we could sell the fruits of our creativity many times over? That is called leverage. To leverage your practice, you must boost your ROC (i.e., your “return on creativity”).

This involves starting with your client notes, blog… Continue

What are your thoughts on the impact of the current economy on management consulting?

Brett, you asked this question, then closed the thread!

If our clients view our services as a luxury, as an expendable add-on for good times, then naturally they will cut us back, or fire us altogether. But if we're doing something they consider essential, then they'd be crazy to let us go.

The problem is, they come to take us for granted. "What have you done for us lately?" We had a good session on this at the City Club last year. And we take them for granted. We view some long-term clients a… Continue

There are diverse ways the business opportunities in Africa could and will largely benefit IMC members. I say this from the stand point of the various talented consultants we have as well as the diversities in our expertise. Due to Africa's unexhaustive resources and opportunities, there is a window of potential platforms IMC members can function in. Both on a small and large scale. I would be obliged at any point in time to intimate IMC members more on this. My Book, Think Wealth,Think Africa, has been written as a business manual for emerging and intending entrepreneurs, consultants and businessmen wishing to cast thier nets to reaping from the financial abundance Africa has got to give.

Hi Mike,

I can't go tonight. I'm disappointed and wanted to hear Alice. I've got a real estate event on Thursday and it turns out our dry run is tonight. I hope all is well with you and would love to talk to you afterwards to get your thoughts.
