We help organizations become more profitable and effective by partnering with them to develop, refine, and execute strategy, and by working with them to assure their performance measurement systems are flexible, effective and supporting of innovation and the continuing improvement of the current strategy.
We integrate the traditional tools of management with the scientific research on how our brains processing and decision-making affect our behavior and that of our clients and customers. Our focus is primarily on neuroscience, social psychology and behavioral economics (think Blink!, Predictably Irrational, Freakonomics).
Hi Lorre: I heard John T0d0r speak a few weeks back on 2.0 and now he has a new Hands-On Guide to Using Web 2.0 in Your Business. If it covers as much as his presentation, it will be worth the cost to clarify all the possibilities and choose the ways that will be most effective for each person/business. Like Rogene, I haven't yet found LinkedIn to be of benefit, and I believe it's because I haven't "worked it." In my efforts to become more savvy about the social networking tools, I've spoken with people who actively use LinkedIn for collaboration, referrals and information sharing. I think one must also take into account one's own style and how you best like to connect with folks. In my university days I had 2000+ clients a year (face to face in person) from overseas plus their families plus the university and national laboratories faculty and administrators. I was so plugged in it took me 15 months to unplug and restore my energies after I left the university! Although I like connecting with others, I never wanted to be plugged in in that way again. I'm taking cues from the younger generation to learn how to use these tech tools to nurture mutually beneficial relationships.
It is going to be interesting to see how this grows and what value it provides. I haven't found a way to make Linked In work for me -- just don't seem to have the ins and outs of using it effectively.
